Kadyrov explains media reorganization in Chechnya by "new challenges"

The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, has announced new challenges for the republic. According to his version, journalists should stop "the liars who are spreading gossips." In this regard, Kadyrov announced a reorganization of mass media.

The head of Chechnya has noted local mass media should resist the spread of negative information about the republic.

"Who are those people who don't love us? They are those who don't like the Muslim religion. They slander everything they can, trying to say that rights are violated here, that the law is not observed, and that we are doing everything wrong here. They invent everything that there's in this world," he has stated.

Ramzan Kadyrov has instructed Magomed Daudov, the speaker of the republic's parliament, to supervise this work. The latter has noted that the reorganization of mass media "will be serious."

Akhmed Dudaev, the head of the "Grozny" TV Channel, will supervise all the republic's mass media. According to his story, it is necessary to raise the authority of the Chechen mass media.

"Now the most active source of information is the Internet – it's there that lies and slander are spread," the "Grozny-Inform" quotes him as saying.

Let us note here that the reorganization of mass media has been announced against the background of the public disputes, which Chechen officials had launched with the blogger, Tumso Abdurakhmanov.
