Azerbaijan claims shelling attacks on its three villages in conflict zone
Positions of the Azerbaijani armed forces were shelled 26 times in the Karabakh conflict zone, including in three villages located in the regions bordering Armenia, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for Azerbaijan reports today.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in the morning on April 7, Azerbaijan reported 25 shelling attacks on its positions during 24 hours. In its turn, Nagorno-Karabakh registered 250 cases of ceasefire violation in the week from March 31 to April 6.
From the morning on April 7 to the morning on April 8, the ceasefire regime was violated 26 times, the Azerbaijani MoD reports on its website today. According to the report, from the Armenian side, positions of the Azerbaijani armed forces were shelled in the villages of Kokhnegyshlag in the Agstafa District and Garalar in the Tovuz District, in the village of Gushchu Airym and at the nameless heights in the Gazakh District, as well as at the nameless heights in the Gadabay District. Furthermore, the fire also came from the positions considered by Azerbaijan as its occupied territories, the Azerbaijani MoD reports.
As of 9:00 a.m. Moscow time on April 8, the Ministries of Defence for Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh did not post on their websites any comments concerning the statement voiced by the Azerbaijani MoD.
