In January 2019, 15 people fell victim to armed conflict in Northern Caucasus
At least 15 people suffered during the ongoing armed conflict in Northern Caucasus in January 2019. They include nine casualties and six wounded persons. These are the results of the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot" based on its own materials and other information from open sources.
In Kabardino-Balkaria, in January 2019, five people fell victim to the armed conflict. While attempting to attack law enforcers, four alleged members of an illegal armed formation (IAF) were killed, and a policeman was wounded.
In Ingushetia, in January 2019, four persons suffered in the armed conflict. As a result of the attack of unknowns, one law enforcer perished; his two colleagues and one civilian were wounded.
In Dagestan, three alleged members of the armed underground were killed while attempting to attack a DPS (road-and-patrol service) post.
In Chechnya, an alleged member of the armed underground was killed in an attack on a DPS post, and two policemen were wounded.
In Karachay-Cherkessia, North Ossetia-Alania and in the Stavropol Territory, in January 2019, no victims of the armed conflict were recorded.
