Azerbaijan claims machine-gun shelling attacks in conflict zone
Within the last 24 hours, the armistice regime in the Karabakh conflict zone was violated for 24 times, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has reported today.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on January 26-27, Azerbaijan counted 26 attacks on its positions. In its turn, Nagorno-Karabakh reported about 250 attacks on the positions of its Defence Army committed during the week of January 20-26.
On January 27-28, the cease-fire regime was broken for 24 times; the fire was delivered from large-calibre machine guns, the Azerbaijani MoD has reported on its website today. The Azerbaijani positions deployed in the village of Kemerli, Gazakh District, and on the nameless heights in the Gadabay District, were shelled from the territory of Armenia; the fire was also delivered from the territory "near the occupied villages", the MoD has specified.
As of 8:20 a.m. Moscow time today, there were no comments to the above statement on the websites of the MoDs of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh.
