Ingush female activist demands million roubles as compensation for dismissal

Angela Matieva, who was fired from the "Ingushneft" Company, has filed a lawsuit, demanding to recognize her dismissal as illegal.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on December 14, 2018, Ms Matieva, who had actively participated in protest actions, stated that she was dismissed from work for political reasons. The reason for her dismissal was announced her "absence at the 'Rosneft' corporate training (seminar for subdivision heads)." According to Angela, she has provided her bosses with medical documents justifying her absence.

On October 4-17, the capital of Ingushetia hosted rallies against the change of the border with Chechnya.

"I wrote an explanatory note (about my absence at the seminar) and enclosed certificates that on October 26, I spent the whole day with doctors, who examined me," Ms Matieva said.
