Kadyrov complains about lack of funds in Chechnya and asked not to interfere

The authorities of Chechnya could have done more for the development of the republic if not for the reduction of funding for the development programme of Chechnya, said the head of the region, Ramzan Kadyrov.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that earlier Kadyrov already expressed his dissatisfaction with the financing of Chechnya. Thus, on November 1, 2016, he sharply criticized the proposal of the Ministry of Finance (MoF) of the Russian Federation to cut the Chechnya's budget for 2017. In June 2017, the MoF's head said that financial assistance to Chechnya is allocated under a special scheme that is not applied to other Russian regions.

State budget subsidies are not the only source of funding Chechnya. All the state employees in Chechnya are obliged to pay about 10% of their monthly salaries to charity needs.

"They hampered a lot; there was mistrust, everyone watched through binoculars: Kadyrov with a beard; he speaks Russian poorly; a yesterday's warrior with a submachine gun; and today he is engaged in politics and economics," Kadyrov said on air of the "Russia-24" TV Channel.

At the same time, according to his story, the trust of President Vladimir Putin has greatly helped the region.

According to the Independent Institute for Social Policy, in the matters of receiving transfers (subsidies), Chechnya is in a better position than most regions of the Russian Federation.
