Russian military men attacked in Chechnya
An attack on Russian military men was carried out in the mountainous district of Sharoi. Several people suffered as a result.
"Rebels opened fire on a military engineering unit examining a location in the Sharoi district. Three servicemen were wounded as a result of the attack: an officer and two contract soldiers. They all were admitted to hospital. The attackers retreated and ran away when response fire was opened on them," Chechnya's military commandant's office said. A criminal case was opened with regard to the attack on the federal military men.
