Telethon raises over 11 million US dollars for Nagorno-Karabakh and Armenia

The money raised at the annual telethon of the Hayastan all-Armenian Fund will be used to implement programmes in Nagorno-Karabakh and create jobs in the communities of Armenia.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that in 2017, the annual charitable telethon organized by the "Hayastan" All-Armenian Foundation under the slogan "Fruitful Artsakh" raised more than 12.5 million US dollars.

On November 22, the 21st telethon of the Hayastan all-Armenian Fund was held in Los Angeles. The charity event was held under the slogan "Let's build together!" and broadcasted on the air of the First Public TV Channel of Armenia. For 12 hours, the telethon raised 11,106,633 US dollars, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.

The donations raised during the telethon will be used to implement the programmes launched in Nagorno-Karabakh in 2017, including, in particular, drilling of deep artesian wells, creating a drip irrigation system for the agricultural sector, and using solar energy, agents of the Hayastan all-Armenian Fund announced during the live broadcast.
