Azerbaijan counts 29 shelling attacks in the conflict zone within 24 hours

The positions of the Azerbaijani Army in the Karabakh conflict zone were fired from large-calibre machine guns, the country's Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated today.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 8, Azerbaijan also reported machine-gun shelling in the conflict zone, having counted 23 violations of the ceasefire regime within the past 24 hours. Earlier, the MoD of Nagorno-Karabakh declared 100 shelling attacks on its positions from the Azerbaijani side during the period from October 28 to November 3.

"The units of the Armed Forces of Armenia, by using large-calibre machine guns, violated the ceasefire regime in different sections of the frontline for 29 times within the past 24 hours," the website of the Azerbaijani MoD has reported today.

According to the MoD, positions of the Azerbaijani Army stationed in the villages of Agdam, Agbulag and Mundjuglu of the Tovuz District, and in the village of Bala Djafarli of the Gazakh District, were shelled.

By 8:45 a.m. of today, on their official websites, the Ministries of Defence for Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh have not yet commented on the statement voiced by the Azerbaijani MoD.
