Five Ingush students detained in Cairo, a resident of Ingushetia reports

Five students from Ingushetia were detained during their stay in Egypt, and their whereabouts remain unknown for almost three months, reported a sister of a detained Ingush student.

On November 7, a sister of Ramzan Pliev, who lived and studied in Egypt, informed the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent that her brother did not contact his family members since August 14.

"My brother Ramzan Pliev, born in 1996, and other students from Ingushetia, including Ali Dzaitov, born in 1997, Ismail Chemurziev, born in 1995, Ilez Aushev, and Khizir Dugiev lived and studied in Egypt. On August 14, law enforcers broke into their house and took everyone away with them. We addressed a lot of institutions, and many of them simply ignore us and our requests. On the day of the detention, a visa of Ramzan already expired. Khizir Dugiev generally studied in the city of Medina, and he went there for a vacation to learn the language," said Khava Plieva.

When asked whether the detention could have been caused by the violation of the migration laws by the Ingush students, Khava Plieva replied that Ismail Chemurziev, one of the detainees, had a return ticket to Russia for August 21.

As of November 7, relatives of Ramzan Pliev have got no new information about him.
