Speaker Daudov inspects lands near Ingush border

On the instruction of Ramzan Kadyrov, Magomed Daudov, the Speaker of the Chechen Parliament, has travelled to the border with Ingushetia and reported on plans for improving these territories. He has inspected the construction of the road, which had caused the border dispute.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 31, Ramzan Kadyrov instructed Daudov to undertake improvement of the pre-border territories in order to create there "all the conditions for life, leisure, and attraction of tourists." According to Kadyrov, it is necessary to start building roads and developing agriculture there.

"The head of Chechnya has set the task to build the entire necessary infrastructure in these lands, with the prospect of making them attractive for businesses," Mr Daudov wrote in the VKontakte social network.

The Ingush authorities had ignored the infrastructural problems of the mountainous Sunzha District, so the initiative of the Chechen party, which started building the road, caused no rejection among residents of the nearby Ingush villages, pre-border locals reported in September.
