Azerbaijan counts 24 bombardments within 24 hours
On October 12-13, the positions of the Azerbaijani Army stationed in two villages in the Karabakh conflict zone were shelled, the Azeri Ministry of Defence (MoD) has stated.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on October 12, within the previous 24 hours, Azerbaijan counted 27 attacks on its positions.
On September 28, the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliev and the Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met at the summit of CIS countries and agreed to set up a mechanism of operative communication aimed to prevent ceasefire violations in the Karabakh conflict zone. In early October, both Nikol Pashinyan and the Azerbaijani MoD noted that after the meeting the intensity of shelling decreased significantly.
"During 24 hours, units of the Armenian Armed Forces have violated the ceasefire for 24 times in different section of the frontline," the Azerbaijani MoD has reported on its website today.
The shelling was carried out both from the territory of Armenia and from the positions located in the territories, which Azerbaijan treats as its occupied territories, the MoD has reported.
Today, as of 9:50 a.m. Moscow time, the MoDs of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh had not posted any statements regarding the shelling information in their official websites.
