Three Navalny supporters fined for action in Volgograd
The court in Volgograd has ruled to fine three participants of the unsanctioned march against the pension reform by 10,000 roubles each.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on September 9, in Volgograd, more than 300 people took part in the unsanctioned march of supporters of Alexei Navalny against the pension reform. After the end of the protest, five persons were administratively punished, namely, Anastasia Kadetova, the coordinator of the local Navalny's office, was arrested for 15 days, and activist Denis Vorontsov – for five days.
Today, the Tsentralny District Court of Volgograd has found three volunteers of Navalny's staff guilty under Article 20.2, Part 5, of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of the established procedure for organizing or holding a rally, demonstration, march or picketing"), Alexei Volkov, an employee of the office, told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
According to Mr Volkov, all the fined persons are students. He added that the court's judgement would be appealed against.
