Teen wounded at self-explosion in Chechnya dies
The 17-year-old resident of Chechnya, detained after a self-explosion at the police post in the Shali District, has died in hospital, said a source from the republic's Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 20, there was a series of attacks on law enforcers in the Shali District of Chechnya and in the city of Grozny. Four attackers were killed, and the fifth one wounded himself while attempting to blow up the road-and-patrol service (DPS) post located near the village of Mesker-Yurt.
According to law enforcers, the explosive device worked prematurely; and only the driver was wounded. The "Islamic State" (IS), a terrorist organization, banned in Russia by the court, has claimed responsibility for all the attacks committed in Chechnya on August 20.
Magomed Musaev, an 18-year-old resident of the Shali District, was named the organizer of the attacks on policemen. The remaining attackers were from 11 and 17 years old. This has confirmed the conclusion of the "Caucasian Knot" about the rejuvenation trend of the underground.
