Azerbaijan claims 86 cases of shelling from Armenia

Over the past day, the Armenian armed forces used large-calibre machine guns and 86 times violated the ceasefire, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on August 3, the Azerbaijani side counted 81 cases of shelling of its positions.

"Over the day, units of the Armenian armed forces used large-calibre machine guns and 68 times violated the ceasefire regime in different directions of the front," the Azerbaijani MoD reports on its website today.

The shelling was conducted both from the territory of Armenia and from the territories considered by Azerbaijan as its occupied land, the report notes.

As of 12:00 a.m. Moscow time on August 4, the Ministries of Defence for Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh did not comment on the statement released by the Azerbaijani MoD.
