Two soldiers injured in an explosion not far from Volgograd

Soldiers were injured while clearing the bombs of World War II in the Gorodische District of the Volgograd Region.

The incident has occurred today, reported the spokesman of the press service for the Southern Military District.

"Today, when combat engineers were clearing the area near Gorodische, an explosive object exploded. As a result, two soldiers got injuries of varying severity," reported the press officer as quoted by the "Interfax".

The press officer has also noted that the injured soldiers were brought to a medical facility where they were provided with qualified medical assistance, and there is no threat to their lives.
