Head of administration killed in Dagestan
Magomed Idrisov, head of administration in the Shamkhal community in Makhachkala's Kirovskii district, was killed today at about 5.00 pm, Dagestan's Internal Affairs Ministry told Caucasian Knot earlier today.
The murder occurred near the Shamkhal Poultry Farm to which Mr Idrisov came up in his official Volga car. A stranger shot a handgun at him, according to the Ministry. As a result, Mr Idrisov died on the spot, the Ministry told RIA Novosti.
The Shamkhal community is situated 10 kilometres away from the capital of Dagestan, Makhachkala, and comes under the jurisdiction of the city's Kirovskii district.
