Rostov activists undress in protest against pension reform

Women-activists of the Democratic Coalition have held a flash mob against raising the retirement age; they appeared in the street without clothes with posters "They've robbed us to panties!"

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the authorities of Rostov-on-Don and Volgograd refused to sanction activists' actions against the pension reform. The Rostov Mayoralty explained the refusal by enhanced security measures during the FIFA World Cup.

According to the pension reform bill, in Russia, it is proposed rising the retirement age for men from 60 to 65 years, and for women – from 55 to 63 years.

Activists Anastasia Shevchenko and Maria Krivenko took part in the action.

"The state is robbing us; that's why we've held solo pickets of despair and hopelessness; the government raises the retirement age and the VAT; gasoline prices are growing, as well as state duties ... Friends, we've been robbed to panties. Stop hanging on with it! Join our flash mob and post photos with a similar poster and hashtag in social networks," Ms Shevchenko wrote in her Facebook.

In the photos the activists stand barefoot in the street, covering their body with posters from shoulders to hips.

"Passers-by were smiling and offered to hold the poster... I hope men will join us, because many of them will not live to their retirement," the young woman has added.
