Servicemen attacked in Dagestan

Unknown attackers shot servicemen of the Russian Internal Affairs Ministry's interior troops from Bashkortostan in Khasavyurt, Dagestan, on the night of 8 September. One of them was killed and another one was wounded, Caucasian Knot's correspondent reports.

The shooting occurred at 2 am (or 3 am according to some information) on the outskirts of Khasavyurt, at the intersection of Groznenskaia St with a motor road to Babayurt. Parked there, an armoured personnel carrier with servicemen was fired with automatic weapons. Vladimir Kipirov, b. 1985, from Pavlovka, Nuriman district, Bashkortostan, was killed.
