Kadyrov declared Muslim Khuchiev to be Chechnya's Prime Minister

Today, Ramzan Kadyrov has signed a decree on appointing the Mayor of Grozny to the post of the Chairman of the Government (Prime Minister) of Chechnya.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on June 22, Abubakar Edelgeriev, the Chechen Prime Minister, was appointed to the post of an adviser to the Russian President. Kadyrov suggested the Mayor of Grozny Muslim Khuchiev to the vacant post, and Isa Tumkhadjiev, the Chairman of the Accounting Chamber, – to the post of the First Vice-Premier.

On September 21, 2017, Muslim Khuchiev was re-elected as Mayor of Grozny. Then, political analysts explained his re-election by a cadre deficit in Chechnya.

"I've also issued decrees on appointing Isa Tumkhadjiev as the First Deputy Premier, and releasing Ibragim Zakriev from his post (he was appointed the Acting Premier of Chechnya on June 22) at his own request," Kadyrov wrote in his Telegram.

Yakub Zakriev, 26, Ramzan Kadyrov's nephew, was appointed to be the First Vice-Premier in March 2016. In January of the same year, Isa Tumkhadjiev was transferred from the post of a Vice-Premier to the post of head of the Chairman of the Accounting Chamber of Chechnya.
