Resident of Chechnya sentenced to 22 years for killing law enforcers

The Supreme Court of Chechnya has found a local citizen guilty of involvement in the murder of a "Natsgvardia" serviceman and an armed attack in which two militaries were killed. This is reported on the website of the Chechen Prosecutor's Office.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 14, the case against the resident of Chechnya accused of killing a "Natsgvardia" serviceman in 2016 and an armed attack committed in Chechnya in 2017, in which two militaries were killed, was brought to the court.

The body of a "Natsgvardia" serviceman with gunshot wounds was found on October 9, 2016, in the Shali District of Chechnya. Investigators suggested that he was killed in order to seize his firearm; while the armed clash, in which the convict participated in January 2017, occurred in the same Shali District.
