Relatives of resident of Ingushetia tell about planted firearms

Parents and brother of Albert Khamkhoev, a resident of Ingushetia, said that law enforcers had beaten him up at detention and planted a pistol on him.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that after the militants' attack on the road-and-patrol (DPS) post in Yandar on November 5, 2017, Albert Khamkhoev was accused of illegal arms circulation.

His relatives assert that a pistol was planted on Khamkhoev at detention; and he himself refused to plead guilty even under torture. According to his father, at the day of the above militants' attack, Albert was at sports training session in Moscow and returned to Ingushetia on November 9. He linked the arrest of his son with the fact that he knew one of the militants killed in Yandar.

On May 29, at the court session on Albert Hamkhoev's case, forensic experts of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) and defence witnesses were questioned.

The witnesses confirmed that the pistol had been planted on Khamkhoev, said Djabrail Kuriev, an advocate. In his opinion, the defence's version is confirmed by the experts either.
