Real estate investors finish hunger strike because of health deterioration

Real estate (housing) investors of the housing-and-building complex "Index" on hunger strike felt bad and an ambulance was called for them. Medical officers offered to hospitalize four women on hunger strike. The hunger-strikers refused to go to the hospital, but listened to the medical officers' advice and stopped participating in the protest action.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 22, the real estate investors, who invested their funds in the construction of a multi-storey building in Bambukovaya Street in Sochi, started a hunger strike with the demand to recognize them as apartment owners.

By the end of May 24, Maria Sovetnikova, Maria Ozhigova, Valentina Artsybasova and Irina Melnikova, who were on the hunger strike for the third day, felt ill and called an ambulance. The medical officers recommended them to stop the hunger strike in order to avoid serious consequences for their health state.

"Tomorrow, we will gradually stop our hunger strike. Meanwhile, our comrades expressed their willingness to replace us in the hunger strike. The decision will be made collectively with participation of all real estate investors," Irina Melnikova told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.
