Ingush party in Moscow "Ramadan Tent" gathers followers of different confessions

In Moscow, the "Ramadan Tent" to hold the charity and enlightening actions dedicated to the Muslim holy month of fasting is organized for the 13th year in a row. This year, at the evening dedicated to Ingushetia, guests of the "Ramadan Tent" watched a short film about Ingush villages and a theatrical performance and after sunset they could taste national treats.

The action lasts the entire month of the fasting, and its main goal is to provide food for the Muslims who observe fasting, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent was informed by Rifat Izmailov, an official from the Spiritual Administration of Muslims (SAM) for Moscow.

Rifat Izmailov has also noted that "first of all, Iftar is designed for Muslims who observe fasting, but followers of other confessions and beliefs are also invited to the event in order to share the culture and atmosphere of joy that prevails among Muslims during Ramadan."

According to an official from the Muftiate, the funds for organization of Iftars and entertainment programme come from Muslims themselves, first of all from those republics and communities which hold thematic evenings at the "Ramadan Tent".
