Armenian MoD tells OSCE about activation of Azerbaijani Armed Forces

David Tonoyan, the head of the Armenian Ministry of Defence (MoD), has informed Andrzej Kasprzyk, the OSCE Chairman-in-Office, about the attempts of Azerbaijani militaries to violate the truce.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 16, the OSCE mission conducted monitoring of the ceasefire at the troops contact line in the Karabakh conflict zone. According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of Nagorno-Karabakh, no violations were fixed.

However, the press service of the Armenian MoD has reported that activation of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces was marked in several sections of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border and in the Karabakh conflict zone.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on May 13, Shamkhal Petrosyan, a serviceman, was seriously wounded on the troops contact line. The MoD of Nagorno-Karabakh stated that this happened during the shelling from the Azerbaijani side.

The OSCE chairman stated the readiness of his organization to render the maximum mediation assistance, the press service of the Armenian MoD has reported.
