Moscow border guards release the Dagestani woman deported from Egypt

Sakinat Baisultanova, a native of Dagestan, who was deported from Egypt, was kept by border guards for 12 hours and was set free after buying an air ticket from Moscow to Makhachkala. This was reported by Roza Magomedova, a lawyer of the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial".

On April 27, relatives announced the kidnapping in Cairo, the capital of Egypt, of 18 residents of Dagestan, including 10 children. On May 7, the HRC "Memorial" reported that all the detainees, including women and children, were taken to the deportation prison in order to be sent back to their homeland. Today, 11 of them arrived in Moscow from Egypt.

All the 12 hours, while Baisultanova was kept by border guards at Sheremetyevo Airport, her four minor children were waiting for her in the arrivals area.

Baisultanova was questioned, and then released from the airport transit zone, under the condition to fly to Makhachkala right today.
