Zarema Gazmagamayev, resident in Grozny, Diakonov St, 5b, 88, was released late on 22 August. She was arbitrarily detained in a marketplace on 19 August, the Russian-Chechen Friendship Society reports.
The girl's relatives are currently very scared, so they declined to give details of her detention. They say Zarema is currently with her relatives on the father's side.
Zarema Gazmagamayev was arbitrarily detained in the marketplace in the Grozny's Mikroraion district on 19 August.
Her aunt says Zarema approached her escorted by two unknown men in camouflage uniforms. The girl was very worried. She told her aunt that she was going to identify a friend of her. Apparently, the men escorting the girl were officers of law enforcement agencies. They did not give their names, but explained to the woman that their disposition was at 17 Altaiskaia St. This is the address of the First building of Chechnya's Internal Affairs Ministry.
The men promised that Zarema would be released when the identification procedure was over. The girl's parents applied to the Internal Affairs Ministry unit on duty that is situated at the mentioned address. However, the police officer on duty told them that Zarema's surname had not been entered to the visitors register.
Yesterday, Zarema was released.
