In Yerevan, demonstrators celebrate acting Prime Minister Karapetyan's resignation

At a rally in Yerevan, oppositionists have announced the resignation of Karen Karapetyan, acting Prime Minister of Armenia, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports. The press service of the government has denied the information about the resignation.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that today, in Yerevan, Gyumri, Vanadzor, and Ijevan, after MP Nikol Pashinyan, the leader of the protest movement, voiced his appeal, activists have started actions to protest against the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) and the appointment of Karen Karapetyan the chair of the government.

Today, from the stage of the opposition rally held in the centre of Yerevan, it has been announced that Karen Karapetyan resigned, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports. The information has been confirmed on the website of the "Dozhd" (Rain) TV Channel.

Meanwhile, on his Facebook page, the Karen Karapetyan's press secretary has not confirmed his chief's resignation and called the information the rumours, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
