Law enforcers report details of Dagestani CTO

The Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF) has published a video from the venue of the counterterrorist operation (CTO) conducted in the Botlikh District of Dagestan, in which one man was killed.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the above village was put under the CTO regime at 3:40 p.m. Moscow time on March 24. Then, law enforcers reported about the murder of a member of the "Islamic State" (IS), a terrorist organization banned in Russia by the court. The CTO regime has been cancelled today at 2:00 p.m.

According to the ICRF, on March 24, at 3:40 p.m. Moscow time, law enforcers received information that an armed man who "had committed a number of terrorist crimes" was hiding in a private house in the village of Andi.

"Special FSB agents, supported by a 'Rosgvardia' unit and policemen, blocked the above house. When offered to lay down arms and surrender, the man refused, and was neutralized in the course of the armed clash. According to available operative data, he was Yunus Khabibov from the federal wanted list. Nobody was hurt from among law enforcers or civilians," the ICRF's website reports today.
