Law enforcers report one casualty of shootout in Grozny

The attacker wounded a policeman and was killed by a return fire, the Chechnya's Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) has reported.

The incident occurred on March 20 at about 8:00 p.m. Moscow time in the Staropromyslovsky District of Grozny.

"An unknown attacker opened fire from some unidentified firearm and wounded an assistant to the on duty officer at the police station No. 4 of the Russian MIA's Department for the city of Grozny. Policemen shot the attacker dead," the Chechen MIA wrote on its website on March 20.

The wounded policeman was hospitalized, his health condition is stable, the TASS reports with reference to a local law enforcement source.
