Dagestan leads in complaint count on "Election Violations Map" in NCFD

Out of fifteen reports of violations committed during the presidential election campaign in the republics of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD), eight entered the project "Election Violations Map" from Dagestan.

On March 18, citizens of Russia will choose the president for the next six years. Seven candidates from different parties and self-nominated Vladimir Putin take part in the presidential election.

According to the data as at 4:30 a.m. Moscow time on March 16, the website "Election Violations Map", run by the "Golos" (Vote), a movement in support of the voters' rights, has published 15 reports on violations committed during the presidential election campaign in the republics of the North-Caucasian Federal District (NCFD). Of them eight violations were committed in Dagestan.

Most of the complaints from Dagestan (seven out of eight) concern reports on the use of the administrative resource, both in connection with the election campaign, and in connection with attempts to ensure a high turnout on polling stations on the voting day.
