Nagorno-Karabakh accuses Azerbaijan of 220 cases of shelling per week

In the period from March 4 to 10, the Azerbaijani armed forces more than 2500 times shelled the positions of the Defence Army, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) for Nagorno-Karabakh reported.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD reported that in the period from February 25 to March 3, Azerbaijan violated the ceasefire regime 250 times.

The Karabakh side registered the use of only small arms.

"The forces of the Nagorno-Karabakh Defence Army basically refrained from responding," the Nagorno-Karabakh MoD reported.

Meanwhile, during the week, Azerbaijan regularly reported on shelling of its positions by the Armenian armed forces. In total, Azerbaijan claimed 672 cases of shelling.

In April 2016, after the aggravation of the Karabakh conflict, the parties to the conflict announced the truce, but the shelling did not stop there even for a day.
