All-Russian pre-election campaign launched in Chechnya with strict security measures

Today, the all-Russia relay race "Interethnic Exercises 180318" has been started against the background of the Grozny centre cordoned off by law enforcers and the total search of the participants of the action. Students and sports club members reported being forced to take part in the event, during which they had to make 18 exercises of knee bending, shoulder dip or other physical exercises.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that earlier, residents of Chechnya reported that on March 3, public employees in Grozny, Argun and Gudermes were forced to come as spectators to a motor rally with an appeal to come to the presidential election in Russia.

The action in the centre of Grozny was held in the mode of sports training, reported officials from the Mayoralty of Grozny.

According to local residents, starting from the morning, the square in front of the City Mayoralty and the mosque "Heart of Chechnya" was cordoned off by the police.

Besides, members of the Chechen sports clubs, schoolchildren and students reported their "voluntary and compulsory" participation in the event.
