Law enforcers cordon off hafiz school in Ingush village

Today, law enforcers have started a verification of documents and Islamic books in the school of hafiz (people who recite the Koran by heart) in the village of Dolakovo, a source from the law enforcement bodies of Ingushetia reports.

"Several streets are cordoned off. The access to the village school which trains Koran experts is blocked by 'Ural' military vehicles. Law enforcers check all the documents and books in Arabic," the source reports.

According to him, the events are being conducted not by local law enforcers, the "Interfax-Yug" reports.

Eyewitnesses note that parents of future hafizes and other villagers gathered in front of the school building, but no one was allowed into the building.

According to the press service of the Spiritual Centre of Muslims in Ingushetia, more than 40 children of aged 8-12 years are enrolled in the school. The educational institution supervised by the Muftiate of Ingushetia has been working for several years and has already prepared about 30 hafizes, the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent reports.
