Borozdinovskaya residents leave Chechnya again
Several families, about 30 people altogether, have returned to the Kizlyar district of Dagestan, Magomedrasul Isayev, a Kizlyar district official, told a Caucasian Knot correspondent. They say the withdrawal of Ramzan Kadyrov's people, who have heretofore guarded the village of Borozdinovskaya, is one of the reasons. The fact that some 30 Chechen policemen still remain in the village did not stop the Borozdinovskaya people.
On 4 June, 11 men were taken away by force from Borozdinovskaya, populated mainly by Avars. One man was killed. Almost all residents of the village left their houses and arranged a tent camp in Dagestan, near the town of Kizlyar. People returned to their houses having been persuaded by the Dagestani authorities and personally by Chechen Deputy Prime Minister Ramzan Kadyrov. They were promised protection and help in the investigation of the abduction case.
