Two missing residents of Dagestan found at police station
Ismail and Mukhtar Kurbanov, who on February 6 disappeared in the Kayakent District of Dagestan, were found at the ROVD (District Interior Division) for the Soviet District of Makhachkala. According to a member of the Public Oversight Commission (POC) for Dagestan, the brothers were suspected of illegal possession of weapons.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on February 7, a resident of Dagestan complained about the disappearance of his sons. On February 8, relatives of the young people filed to the Prosecutor's Office a complaint of kidnapping.
Today, the father of the brothers has been allowed entering the building of the Soviet ROVD in Makhachkala and saw his youngest son there. Earlier, the ROVD officials claimed they did not have Ismail and Mukhtar at their place.
According to the father, his sons did not have any problems with the law enforcement bodies, but their names were included in the police prevention registration list. A person could be often included in the above police list for wearing a beard or visiting a mosque.
Mikail Kurbanov has added that his sons are suspected of having connections with Syrian militants. "According to law enforcers, while studying in Egypt, my sons went to Syria to fight there. And now they want to charge my sons also for participation in an illegal armed formation (IAF)," he said.
The man believes that his sons could not fight in Syria.
