Two people injured by gas explosion in a Baku store

A gas explosion and a fire occurred in a stationery store in Baku; the police have reported two victims. Tenants of a thousand apartments stay without gas supply.

The accident happened this morning in a store located in an 18-storey building in Dilyara Alieva Street.

"Yesterday, they made some drilling in the site; it is assumed that a gas pipeline was hit during the works," Ibragim Kyarbalaev, Deputy Director General of the "Azerigas" Company, has reported. According to his story, gas supply to about 1000 consumers was suspended because of the incident, the APA reports.
