Experts highly appreciate Russian APCs delivered to Azerbaijan

The armoured personnel carriers (APCs) delivered by Russia will strengthen the combat capacities of Azerbaijani armed forces in the Karabakh conflict zone, the Baku experts interviewed by the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent, believe.

A large batch of Russian equipment arrived in Azerbaijan on January 19. It will be delivered to the front line in the shortest time, the Azerbaijani Ministry of Defence (MoD) has reported.

Judging by the video, posted on the MoD's website, the delivered APCs are model BTR-82A, a source from an Azerbaijani NGO said. According to his story, they were already used during the April aggravation of the situation in 2016 and demonstrated their high efficiency.

Azad Isazade, a former employee of the information and analytical department of the Azerbaijani MoD, has noted that the delivered vehicles are "the most modern APCs currently made in Russia."

A reliable protection of soldiers inside is one of the main advantages of these APCs, said Khatai Bakhyshov, a consultant of the Azerbaijani MoD.
