Suleiman Kerimov allowed visiting Russia

Today, French law enforcers have allowed Suleiman Kerimov, a Senator from Dagestan, a three-day trip to his relative living in Russia.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 20, 2017, Suleiman Kerimov was detained in France and charged with money laundering. The Senator was released on bail, but forbidden to leave France.

According to investigators, Suleiman Kerimov had illegally brought to France from 500 to 750 million euros. He is under threat of five, and in case of any aggravating circumstances, up to 10 years in prison, said the material "Prisoner of Cote d'Azur; why Suleiman Kerimov being investigated in France", published by the "Caucasian Knot".

Suleiman Kerimov has been allowed making a short trip to Russia, Jean-Michel Pretre, the Public Prosecutor of Nice, said today.

"Mr Kerimov has received a permit from the investigating judge to make a short trip to Russia to visit his close relative, a brother or a cousin," the TASS quotes Mr Pretre as saying.
