Seven kidnapped Grozny residents released

Seven residents of the capital of Chechnya, kidnapped in November, were released after almost a month of stay in an illegal prison, the Human Rights Centre (HRC) "Memorial" reports.

On November 22, armed men took Zelimkhan Dikaev from his house, his relatives assert. According to the HRC "Memorial", Dikaev was one of the seven Grozny residents, kidnapped on November 21-22 and kept in some power entity of the Staropromyslovsky District. However, the press service of the North-Caucasian District of "Natsgvardia" (Russian National Guard) denied its involvement in the kidnappings.

According to the calculations run by the "Caucasian Knot", since the start of the year, residents of Chechnya reported kidnappings of at least 50 their relatives.
