Abuse in Chechnya, Ingushetia
A local resident was abducted by law enforcement agents from his own house in the Kirov community in Grozny's Zavodskoi district in the evening on 25 May, according to information received by the Council of Nongovernmental Organisations from local residents. The circumstances of the incident and the name of the abducted man are being specified.
Armed people in camouflage uniforms driving several cars without registration number plates abducted Tamerlan Movsayev, a 35-year-old local resident, in Grozny's Oktiabrskii district in the morning on 16 May.
Law enforcement agents detained and brought away two people (their names are being specified) while conducting targeted "clean-ups" in Grozny's Leninskii district on 25 May. Both abducted men live in Altaiskaia St.
Russian military and local law enforcement and security personnel, some of them in masks, conducted a "clean-up" in Roshni-Chu, Urus-Martan district, on 25 May. In many houses they conducted unauthorised searches.

A group of armed people in masks and camouflage uniforms abducted a local resident in Grozny's Staropromyslovskii district. Local residents believe the young man was most likely kidnapped for ransom, as one of his close relatives has a business.
Armed people driving cars with Chechen registration number plates abducted Rustam Garsive, b. 1973, resident in Chechnya's Achkhoi-Martan district, in Orjonikidzevskaia, Sunzha district, Ingushetia, on 20 May. His relatives say he lives in Ingushetia as an internally displaced person.
