Chechen state servants report being forced to subscribe to Ramzan Kadyrov's new account
In Chechnya, employees of budgetary organizations were instructed to create accounts in Mylistory to follow the leader of the republic. Meanwhile, they did not get any requests to close their pages in Western social networks.
The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that after he lost his Facebook and Instagram accounts on December 23, Ramzan Kadyrov announced the launch of the local social network Mylistory. To follow the leader of the republic, Chechen officials and institutions began to move to the new social network.
"I have pages in Facebook, Instagram and Telegram. And on December 25, I also opened a page in Mylistory, although there was no need for it... I did that to follow the instructions of the authorities... I believe that Mylistory still needs improvement, and it is still very far for Instagram," said Sultan, a public employee from Chechnya.
"By opening our pages, we support the social network developed by a specialist from our republic, and we show support to our leader," said Adam, a resident of Chechnya.
As of December 28, the number of Ramzan Kadyrov's subscribers in Mylistory exceeded 40,000 people.
