Law enforcers report names of suspects killed in Stavropol CTO

In Stavropol, two suspects tried to escape and were killed by law enforcers, and another man was killed in a bomb explosion, reported a source from the law enforcement bodies. The killed suspects were identified as natives of Chechnya, Dagestan and the Stavropol Territory.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that at night on December 9, the counterterrorist (CTO) legal regime was introduced in the centre of Stavropol. An official from the FSB Department for the Stavropol Territory has mentioned the prevention of a terror act as the purpose of the special operation. According to the law enforcement bodies, three militants were killed in the course of the CTO.

"The militants have been identified as I. G. Amurbekov, A. V. Djamaldinov and M. V. Galitsa, natives of Dagestan, Chechnya and the Stavropol Territory," the RIA "Novosti" reports with reference to its source in the law enforcement bodies. The source has clarified that two of the suspects were killed while trying to escape, and the third suspect was killed as a result of a detonation of an improvised explosive device (IED) inside the house.

According to the source, the militants planned to commit terror acts on the New Year holidays.
