A resident of Ingushetia suspected of involvement in IS
A resident of Ingushetia, who joined militants in Syria, continues fighting against the authorities of the country, investigators have reported.
In Nazran, investigators have instituted a criminal case against 32-year-old Adam Mutsolgov under the article of "Involvement in activities of a terrorist organization". He faces 10-20 years of imprisonment.
In June 2015, the suspect stayed in Syria and "actively participated there in battles against the government of Syria for purposes contradicting the interests of the Russian Federation," reports the website of the Investigating Department for Ingushetia of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).
Adam Mutsolgov fought on the side of the terrorist organization "Islamic State" (IS) banned in Russia, the "Interfax-South" reports with reference to the ICRF's Investigating Department for Ingushetia.
