Three militants killed in special operation in Tbilisi

Three suspects of terrorism were killed by law enforcers during a special operation in Tbilisi, another one has been detained, the Georgian State Security Service (SSS) reports.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that this evening a special operation conducted in Gabriel Salos Street in Tbilisi was completed. In the course of it, one special troop's fighter was wounded and then died in hospital; two other fighters were wounded. One of the militants was detained, the law enforcers report.

According to the SSS, during the large-scale special operation held in the outskirts of Tbilisi, three suspects of terrorism were killed, and one was detained.

"As a result of the undertaken actions, one member of the criminal grouping was detained; and three others were liquidated. Unfortunately, one special troop's fighter perished in the special operation; and two others were wounded," the RIA "Novosti" quotes Nino Giorgobiani, the head of the press service of the Georgian SSS, as saying.

According to power agents, they tried to hold talks with the blocked militants; however, the talks failed; and special fighters captured the apartment by an assault.
