Three Dagestani women detained after returning from Syria

Law enforcers have detained three women from Dagestan, who arrived to Chechnya from Syria on November 13. One of the women is on the Moscow wanted list.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 13, 41 people were brought from Syria to Grozny, including women and children. Their number includes 34 natives of the Russia's regions, such as Chechnya, Dagestan, and Ingushetia, and seven citizens of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan. The women have signed letters that they are ready "to appear in court if necessary," said Ziyad Sabsabi, an official representing the Chechen leader. The women have confirmed that they could return to Russia after expressing their consent to criminal prosecution.

"Officials from the law enforcement agencies for Dagestan detained women in the cases instituted against them," reported Kheda Saratova, a member of the Human Rights Council under the Chechen leader, as quoted by the TASS.
