CTO regime cancelled in two Ingush villages

Law enforcers have removed the restrictions imposed in the villages of Yandare and Ekazhevo after the militants' attack on the road-patrol service (DPS) block post.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that on November 5, a suicide bomber blew himself up in the building of the block post located in the village of Yandare in the Nazran District; while his accomplices began a shootout with policemen. The Russian National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) reported two killed militants. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) of Ingushetia, six policemen were wounded. One of them died on the way to the hospital; the health condition of the rest remains stably grave.

The counterterrorist operation (CTO) regime in the villages of Yandare and Ekazhevo was cancelled today at 6:00 p.m. Moscow time, the "Interfax" reports quoting the republic's operative headquarters.

The CTO regime, introduced on November 5, became the third one in Ingushetia since the start of the year. The "Caucasian Knot" is monitoring the situation in Ingushetia and runs the chronicle of the ongoing armed incidents, special operations and kidnappings.
