In Azerbaijan, three men killed in a shootout with law enforcers

Today, during a shootout, law enforcers have killed three Azerbaijani citizens suspected of plotting a terror act to be committed at an opposition rally. This has been reported by the State Security Service (SSS) of Azerbaijan.

According to the Azerbaijani SSS, today, in Azerbaijan, law enforcers held a special operation to detain Bakhtiyar Mamedsadig oglu Alekperov (aka Abdulla), Masimli Anar Mekhman oglu (Abu Yunis), and Guseinli Javid Gusein oglu (Abu Vakzaz). However, the suspects rendered resistance and opened fire from firearms.

All three suspects were killed by return fire opened by law enforcers from service weapons, reports the Azerbaijani SSS.

All three suspects swore allegiance to one of the terrorist groupings operating abroad and were plotting to commit a terror act in Baku.

According to the version of the Azerbaijani SSS, the suspects were plotting a terror act to be committed at a rally of the National Council of Democratic Forces (NCDF) to be held on October 28.

The NCDF's rally under the slogan: "Stop Corruption ‑ Free Political Prisoners" has been sanctioned by the Baku authorities and will be held at the Yasamal District stadium, the "Caucasian Knot" has been informed by the Baku City Mayoralty.
