Chechnya: child found dead in kindergarten

Investigators have launched an investigation into a death of a child in one of the kindergartens in the Urus-Martan District.

On October 12, the child was found dead by a kindergarten teacher in Goity. This has been told today to the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent by an official from the Investigating Department for Chechnya of the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF). "The preliminary investigation is underway. Investigators question teachers and attendants of the kindergarten to reveal the circumstances of the incident. Following the results of the inspection, the ICRF's Department for Chechnya will decide whether to initiate or refuse to initiate criminal proceedings," the investigators explained.

Officials from the pre-school education administration of the municipality have refused to comment on the incident until the completion of the inspection by investigators.
