Grozny students and teachers report enforcement to attend football match

University staff and students were instructed to attend the "Akhmat"-"Spartak" (Moscow) football match held in Grozny today. The visit is strictly obligatory for young men, not for girls, students and teachers told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

"By 6 p.m., we were obliged to be at the stadium together with our students and to occupy the allocated seats in the stands. Other higher and technical schools were instructed similarly," a teacher of the Grozny Oil University told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

Students themselves also stated receiving instructions to be at the "Akhmat-Arena" Stadium. "The appearance was mandatory for guys and did not concern girls. The match starts at 7:30 p.m., it means that we’ll hardly get home before 10 p.m.," Shamil, a student of one of technical schools in Grozny told the "Caucasian Knot" correspondent.

So far, there are no comments of Grozny higher school and college bosses on the information about the enforcement of students and teachers to attend the football match.
